Ten pit bulls and items that authorities say are typically used in dogfighting have been seized from a house in Ramona.
Although the dogs were all in fairly good condition, four to five of them had scars on their faces, necks and front legs, said Lt. Dan DeSousa, supervising animal control officer for the county Department of Animal Services. Those kinds of injuries are often found on animals that have been involved in dogfights, DeSousa said.
